1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyDegree ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users including students, parents, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

MyDegree is a decision intelligence platform that provides information, recommendations, and simulations to help Indian students and their families make informed higher education decisions. We are not a consultancy, recruitment agent, or application portal. We do not apply to universities on your behalf, and we do not guarantee admission outcomes.

3. Informational Purpose Only

All data, recommendations, confidence scores, simulations, salary projections, and immigration pathway information provided on MyDegree is for informational and decision-support purposes only. It should not be treated as professional legal, financial, immigration, or admissions advice. Always verify information directly with the relevant university, government authority, or qualified professional before making any decision.

4. Account Registration

You may create an account by providing your name and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Attempt to access, modify, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure or data.
• Scrape, reproduce, or redistribute platform content without written permission.
• Create fake accounts or provide deliberately false information.
• Use the platform in a way that could harm other users or third parties.

6. Accuracy of Data

We make reasonable efforts to ensure data accuracy, including tuition fees, acceptance rates, salary data, immigration rules, and university information. However, data may become outdated as university fees, government immigration policies, and economic conditions change. We assign a confidence score to every data record and recommend you verify critical information directly with official sources before acting on it.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyDegree and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, visa rejections, university admission decisions, or financial losses arising from reliance on information provided on the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹500 if you are a free user).

8. Intellectual Property

All content on MyDegree — including recommendation algorithms, confidence scoring methodology, simulation engine, database structure, design, and written content — is owned by MyDegree and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. Third-Party Links

The platform may link to external websites (university admissions pages, government portals). We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party sites. Links are provided as a convenience and do not constitute endorsement.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us via the contact form.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
